What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. South Luangwa National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside. Here is what that adds up to.

Three nights means three days inside, so two adults sharing one vehicle pay $225 in park fees before anyone pays for a bed.
There is no single park fee here. On top of the gate fee, camps pass on vehicle fees, guide fees and bed levies, and what applies depends on whether the camp sits inside the national park or in the Game Management Area alongside it. Kafunta Safaris, who charge one combined figure covering the government levies, told us it comes to $60 per person per night at their two GMA camps and $90 at their camp inside the park. Treat that as the shape of it rather than a universal rate: the amounts move with each operator's lease.

Is Chindeni Bushcamp good for families?
Better than most of its sister camps. Chindeni has a Family Room alongside its standard tents, though the walking safaris central here still carry a minimum age of twelve. We found no wider child policy on Bushcamp Company's site, so confirm family arrangements when you book.
Can you self-drive to Chindeni Bushcamp?
The operator's site does not cover self-drive access. Chindeni is about two hours fifteen minutes from Mfuwe airport inside the Bushcamp Company concession, and guests typically fly in and are transferred by camp vehicle. Ask Bushcamp Company directly if you intend to drive yourself.
Is Chindeni good for a honeymoon?
Yes. Each of its four tents has a private plunge pool and outdoor shower, set on raised decks over a permanent lagoon with the Chindeni Hills behind. Elephants cross in front of camp routinely, which adds to the appeal for a couple wanting a quiet, private base.
What does the rate at Chindeni include?
