What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. South Luangwa National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside. Here is what that adds up to.

Three nights means three days inside, so two adults sharing one vehicle pay $225 in park fees before anyone pays for a bed.
There is no single park fee here. On top of the gate fee, camps pass on vehicle fees, guide fees and bed levies, and what applies depends on whether the camp sits inside the national park or in the Game Management Area alongside it. Kafunta Safaris, who charge one combined figure covering the government levies, told us it comes to $60 per person per night at their two GMA camps and $90 at their camp inside the park. Treat that as the shape of it rather than a universal rate: the amounts move with each operator's lease.

Questions about Zungulila Bushcamp
Is Zungulila Bushcamp good for families?
Not especially. The walking safaris central to Zungulila carry a minimum age of twelve, and with only four tents for up to eight guests, there is little room for young children anyway. We found no wider family or child policy beyond that rule on Bushcamp Company's site.
Can you self-drive to Zungulila Bushcamp?
The operator does not address self-drive access. Zungulila is the furthest camp in the Bushcamp Company's concession, about three and a half hours from Mfuwe airport, and guests normally fly in and transfer by camp vehicle. Confirm directly with the company if you plan to drive.
Is Zungulila good for a honeymoon?
Yes. It is the most remote camp in the group, with total solitude and no other vehicles in sight, and every tent has a private veranda with an outdoor bathtub over the Kapamba River plain. A natural spring in front of camp keeps game coming past all day.
When is Zungulila Bushcamp open?
Sources disagree on the exact dates: the camp's own record lists 10 April to 15 November, while the operator's product page lists 15 May to 1 November. Either way it runs a defined dry-season window, so confirm current dates with Bushcamp Company before booking.
What does the rate at Zungulila include?
The record describes the rate as all-inclusive. Bushcamp Company's general terms cover accommodation, laundry, house drinks, most meals and scheduled game drives and walking safaris, with gratuities, premium drinks, extra activities and park fees charged separately.
