What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. South Luangwa National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside. Here is what that adds up to.

Three nights means three days inside, so two adults sharing one vehicle pay $225 in park fees before anyone pays for a bed.
There is no single park fee here. On top of the gate fee, camps pass on vehicle fees, guide fees and bed levies, and what applies depends on whether the camp sits inside the national park or in the Game Management Area alongside it. Kafunta Safaris, who charge one combined figure covering the government levies, told us it comes to $60 per person per night at their two GMA camps and $90 at their camp inside the park. Treat that as the shape of it rather than a universal rate: the amounts move with each operator's lease.

Questions about Chinzombo
Is Chinzombo good for families?
Yes. Time + Tide states that children of all ages are welcome, and Chinzombo has a dedicated two-bedroom, two-bathroom two-bedroom, two-bathroom family tent. The all-inclusive rate covers two daily activities and a welcome massage; spa treatments, premium spirits and gratuities are charged separately.
Can you self-drive to Chinzombo?
No clear self-drive route is published. Time + Tide's own site describes a one-hour game drive transfer from Mfuwe Airport, which points to fly-in access with a road transfer arranged by the camp rather than guests driving themselves.
Is Chinzombo good for a honeymoon?
Yes. Every one of the six villas has its own private pool and a soaking tub with river views, and the camp is open all year, so there is no need to work around a seasonal closure when planning a trip for two.
What does the rate at Chinzombo include?
The all-inclusive rate covers accommodation, meals, standard drinks, local airport transfers except from Jeki, laundry, two daily activities and a 20-minute welcome massage. Reserve spirits, premium wine and champagne, spa treatments, visas, flights and gratuities are charged separately.
When is Chinzombo open?
Chinzombo runs all year, unlike most of its sister camps in the Time + Tide group, which close for the rains. That makes it one of the few top-end options in the valley bookable in any month.
